HAMLET — Stephen “Steve” Bruce Snead, 69, of Hamlet, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his residence.
Steve was born Oct. 23, 1951 in Richmond County, son of William Grady Snead and Lois McKenzie Snead.
He was a member of Kings Gate Church, and was on the praise and Worship team for over 30 years. He attended Richmond Community College and graduated as an industrial engineer. He also enjoyed playing golf. Steve was a man of great faith and had much love for his Lord and for his family.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alan and Randy Snead; and sister, Carol Snead Howell.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Christina Stewart Snead; daughters, Kayla Snead of the home, Shannon S. Allen (Duane) of Galivants Ferry, South Carolina, and Missy Snead of Rockingham; sons, Matthew Snead (Christina) of Huntersville, Brandon Davis (Amber) of Marston and Chris Davis (Amber) of Hope Mills; brother, David Snead of Hamlet; sister, Linda Snead Coward (Gary) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Makenzie Davis, Chelsea Barrington, Cameron Barrington, Madie Snead, Aiden Snead, Peyton Snead, Morgan Allen, Makenna Allen, Averie Davis, Parker Davis, Corbin Gomez, Brix Campbell, Levi Russell and Harper Russell; and one great-grandchild, Lilly Parks.
A memorial dervice will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Kings Gate.
