EAST ROCKINGHAM - The alarm sounded Wednesday night around 11:18 p.m. for a structure fire at 144 6th Street Safie in East Rockingham.
On arrival firefighters found a structure fully engulfed with smoke and flames.
Most of the fire was located at the rear of the structure.
It was no easy task to protect the house directly behind the structure.
By ventilating the roof and through an interior attack, firefighters were able to allay any damage to the nearest structure.
No one was living at the house at the time of the fire.
The cause had not been determined at press time.
