HAMLET — Mrs. Wanda Ellen McLean Holt, 79, of Hamlet, passed away at her residence Monday, Aug. 9, 2021.
She was born Dec. 21, 1941 in Richmond County, daughter of James Washington McLean and Elder Taylor McLean.
She previously worked at L’Eggs and among her favorite things to do were read, go to yard sales, and listen to the Gaithers sing. She loved her grandchildren and her children as well. She was a great Mother! She will be missed!
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Outreach for Jesus. Bishop Marvin Taylor and Pastor Allen Collins will be officiating.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie H. Slagle (Tim) of Greenville, South Carolina; sons, Ray Brigman of Hamlet and Steven Brigman (Patricia) of Fayetteville; sisters, Barbara Chavis (Ronald) of Laurel Hill and Linda Brigman of Laurel; three grandchildren, “Her Girls;” and two great-grandchildren.
