ROCKINGHAM — A woman currently on probation is facing multiple charges, accused of stealing more than $1,700 worth of merchandise from the local Walmart store.
Warrants issued April 29 allege that Regina Danielle Collins, 26, of East Rockingham, stole the following items on four occasions over the course of several weeks:
March 12 - a Thyme & Table countertop blender; a 10-piece Schmidt Brothers cutlery set;a pair of Backhaul boots; a pair of Brahma work boots; and a 9-piece earring set (valued at $409.57)
March 18 - 27-inch HP touchscreen desktop computer (valued at $899)
April 23 - a box of Luvs diapers ($45)
April 29 - Jeep Turboglyde jogging stroller; 5.3-quart stand mixer; Frigidaire 26-pound icemaker (valued at $410.94)
Collins was arrested May 10 and charged with four counts each of misdemeanor larceny and second-degree trespassing. She is being held in the Richmond County Jail on a combined $9,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 5.
Online court records show Collins has several pending traffic infractions and the following pending criminal charges:
Stanly County - misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor conspiracy
Moore County - two counts of misdemeanor larceny
Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Collins was given an 18-month suspended sentence in late January when she was convicted of misdemeanor larceny in Cabarrus County.
Collins also has the following prior convictions:
2016 - resisting a public officer
2019 - possessing stolen goods, financial card fraud
2020 - involuntary manslaughter
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
