ROCKINGHAM — Police have charged a woman for allegedly relieving herself at a local gas station.
According to warrants, 44-year-old Rosheeda Shanta Prince, of Rockingham, “(p)ulled down her under garments and urinated in the parking lot” of the Refuel on Fayetteville Road in the presence of another woman on Aug. 31.
Prince had also allegedly been told not to remain on the property.
She was arrested and charged with one misdemeanor count each of indecent exposure and second-degree trespassing. Prince was also charged with possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises, a felony, for allegedly having “a glass tube used to smoke crack cocaine.”
Prince is being held without bond in the Richmond County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 25.
Online court records show Prince has two pending trespassing charges from earlier in the month.
Two cases show Prince has an address on Skipper Street, while the other two cases show her address as "Streets of Rockingham."
Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Prince was first convicted in 2004 of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Her probation was revoked in 2006 and she was incarcerated for nearly 19 months.
In 2020, Prince was convicted of larceny of a motor vehicle, speeding to elude arrest and possession of stolen goods.
Probation on the former two charges was revoked the following year when she was convicted on two counts of breaking and entering vehicles and was subsequently incarcerated for a week.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
