SOUTHERN PINES — Woodrow N. Boroughs, age 102, departed this life Friday, May 22, 2020 at First Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst.
Due to COVID-19, a private funeral service will be conducted later this week at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines, N.C.
He was former owner of Boroughs Wheel Alignment in Southern Pines and a World War II Army veteran, having served in the Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle McBride Boroughs; and is survived by his sons, Nelson Boroughs (Gail) of Seven Lakes, and Robert Boroughs of Southern Pines; a daughter, Janice B. Eason (Jim) of Rockingham; his brothers, Duke Boroughs of Carthage, Talmadge Boroughs and Otis Boroughs, both of Jackson Springs.
