Catherine Craven Rocker, of Rockingham, passed away at home Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Catherine was a daughter of the late William R. Craven and Nancy L. Craven.
Along with her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her younger sister, Marjorie Craven; and first husband, H.B. Memory.
Catherine was born in Scotland County and was raised in Rockingham. She was a graduate of Rockingham High School. For several years, Catherine worked as a credit manager at Homeway Furniture Company in Rockingham until she retired. In her spare time, Catherine loved working in her yard, gardening and feeding the hummingbirds that would frequent her yard. Catherine was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church; she loved her church family dearly.
Catherine is survived by her second husband of 38.5 years, Charles Robert Rocker; older sister, Billie Ruth Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Eastside Cemetery, Monday, May 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Shelley Dial officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made out to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Mount Olive Baptist Church or Our Daily Bread in Rockingham.
