Back-to-School Bash planned at Place of Grace

ROCKINGHAM — Place of Grace will hold its second annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 17,  and everyone in the community is invited to come.

Misty-Laurel Loan is heading the event in which several local churches are also partnering. All items are donated through local churches, individuals and businesses throughout the community, as well as Place of Grace.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. and continue through 2 p.m. There will be backpacks, school supplies, free haircuts from local stylists, live music, barbecue-style lunch, a bounce house, games, and much more all which will be free of cost.

“Multiple community agencies and churches will be represented with giveaways and games, said Loan. “Our goal is for the community to come together and help one another.

“There will also be teacher bags made up containing gifts and giveaways for teachers,” she added. “We want to show them we appreciate the work they do.”
