ROCKINGHAM — Three people are facing drug-related charges after a joint-agency search warrant reportedly turns up more than 30 grams of crack.

Narcotics investigators with the Rockingham Police Department and Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday executed a search warrant on a Cauthen Drive apartment, according to a post on the RPD’s Facebook page.

Investigators reportedly found 35.5 grams of crack cocaine, “numerous items for the sale of cocaine,” and a stolen firearm.

The three people arrested and charged are 32-year-old Tashaad Ahamad Rhodes, 33-year-old Harding Mikel Rice and 26-year-old Jazzmin Lorraine Cann.

Rhodes is charged with: two counts of selling or delivering a Schedule II controlled substance; one count each of trafficking in cocaine, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rice is charged with: possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Cann is charged with maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Investigators say her name was on the lease for the apartment. She was also served outstanding warrants “for a prior incident,” however no details were readily available.

Richmond County Jail records show Rhodes is being held on a $150,000 secured bond and Rice was given a $5,000 secured bond. As of 4 p.m., Cann did not appear to be in jail.

Rhodes and Rice are scheduled to appear in court May 5.

None of the defendants appear to have any pending charges in the state.

Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction show Rhodes was convicted in 2016 of second-degree kidnapping; and Cann was convicted of simple assault in 2014. Rice appears to have no prior convictions in the state.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
