HAMLET — Police are trying to identify a suspect in a shooting that sent the victim to a hospital.
Investigators with the Hamlet Police Department say officers responded to a call about shooting off of Beeler Avenue. A statement issued Tuesday evening did not say when the shooting happened.

The unnamed victim was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment, according to the statement.
