Juvenile killed, man injured in Rockingham shooting

ROCKINGHAM — Police are investigating a shooting late Wednesday night that left one juvenile dead and one man injured.

According to Rockingham Police Chief George Gillenwater, the shooting happened between 11 and 11:15 p.m. on John F. Kennedy Drive on Feb. 14.

An unnamed juvenile was deceased and an unnamed adult male was shot and airlifted for treatment.

No other information is available at this time as the case is still under investigation.

Two people were injured in a shooting on the same street on May 29, 2023 and a teen girl was shot on March 1, 2023.
