Emergency Responders were called out around 2:58 pm Thursday afternoon, February 8 on Rockingham Road to a one vehicle accident between Hunter Circle and Leak Street.

A spokesperson for the Police Department stated that when he arrived on the scene the driver said that she took her eyes off the road and struck the utility pole.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Agencies responding to the accident included the Rockingham Fire Department, First Health Richmond EMS, and Rockingham Police Department.

Rockingham Police were in route to the hospital to verify details of the accident with the driver.
