Accident Report: SUV Flips Several Times on US Highway 74 West

ROCKINGHAM – First responders were called out to a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. on Highway 74 West near the Richmond County Animal Shelter.

Upon arrival personnel discovered that a white SUV had lost control and rolled over a number of times before landing on its wheels.

The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was transported by ambulance to the hospital with possible arm and shoulder injuries. There was no update on the driver’s condition at the time of this report.

Rockingham Fire Department, FirstHealth Richmond EMS, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina Highway Patrol were on the scene. The accident is being further investigated by the N.C. Highway Patrol.
