ROCKINGHAM — An Anson County man died Saturday following a motorcycle crash in Richmond County.
According to the N.C. State Highway Patrol, 59-year-old Everett Plant Jr., of Lilesville, was traveling west on U.S. 74 Business early Saturday afternoon, riding a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, when he ran off the road, hit a drain culvert and was killed on impact.
The single-vehicle wreck happened around 1:41 p.m. in front of Cooley Veterinary Hospital, according to troopers.

There is no suspicion of impairment and troopers believe Plant suffered “some kind of medical event.”
