ROCKINGHAM – Sunday Afternoon around 3:15 p.m. emergency responders were dispatched to a three-vehicle collision on 74 By-Pass.
The accident occurred as traffic was slowing to exit at the Highway 1 Exit ramp 311.
One vehicle exiting was rear- ended and the third vehicle also slowing was then hit from the rear as well.
All of those involved in the accident were examined by EMS personnel.
One patient was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Responding units were: Cordova Fire and Rescue; First Health Richmond EMS; and the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
