DOBBINS HEIGHTS — A body was found behind the Dobbins Heights Community Center Tuesday afternoon, prompting town officials to close the center and the park.
Mayor Pro Tem Tyre Holloway confirmed that both recreation areas were closed at 3 p.m. when a pool attendant spotted the body.
Holloway said there were children in the pool at the time.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
