In another new featured column, the Richmond Observer is proud to announce it will be showcasing a weekly “Raiders Marching Band Member of the Week.” Written by Celve Baxley, this feature will shadow the Official Richmond County Athlete of the Week.
In its inaugural week, Richmond Raider Marching Band director Mike Ward has chosen Cameron McDonald.
“Cameron exemplifies what I deem to be a student musician,” Ward said. “There are student athletes; well he is a student musician. He excels academically and is a role model to the entire marching band.”
