Car drives into Rockingham apartment

ROCKINGHAM — Crews responded to wreck Friday evening after a car drove into an apartment.

The incident occurred after 8 p.m. at Lennox Station Apartments on Caroline Street and crews were dispatched at 8:25, according to Fire Chief Harold Isler.

Isler said the driver thought the vehicle was in park but it was actually still in drive.

The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to Isler.

No other information is currently available.

The Rockingham Police Department doesn’t release wreck information until the report is approved, which will likely be on Monday.
