FirstHealth to open 10th Convenient Care location

FirstHealth

SANFORD—  FirstHealth of the Carolinas is pleased to announce the opening of its tenth convenient care location. The new clinic is located at 3110 S. Horner Blvd. in Sanford and will begin accepting walk-in patients Monday, Aug. 16.

The hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

FirstHealth Convenient Care fills the gap between a true emergency, that warrants a visit to the emergency room, and preventative care from a primary care doctor. Patients are provided with a one-stop option for unscheduled, medical care led by board certified physicians specializing in emergency medicine.

Since its first location opened in 2012, FirstHealth Convenient Care has continued to expand and now offers access to unscheduled urgent care in Asheboro, Hamlet, Lake Tillery, Raeford, Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Whispering Pines and Sanford. In addition to the Tramway and Beechtree Drive locations in Sanford, the Horner Boulevard location marks the third clinic in Lee County.

FirstHealth Convenient Care serves adults and children with non-emergency medical needs, such as upper respiratory infection, strep, mild asthma, flu and urinary tract infection, as well as minor injuries including cuts, burns and broken bones that have not broken the skin. Imaging services, immunizations and sports physicals are also offered.
