Hamlet Police Locate and Apprehend Three Wanted Individuals in Under 48 Hours

HAMLET – Between the hours of 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23rd and 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25th, the Hamlet Police Department located, confronted, and arrested three persons wanted for various charges.

On Saturday, June 23rd at approximately 6:00 p.m., Darren Lamont Little, 25, of 320 Spring Street in Hamlet was observed leaving a convenience store by an officer who recognized him to be wanted for larceny.  Little was consequently arrested and processed through the magistrate’s office where he signed a written promise to appear in Richmond County District Court on Thursday, July 26th.

On Sunday, June 24th at approximately 4:00 p.m., John Michael Gribbons, 40, of 164 Mill Road in Rockingham was observed in Steve’s Pizza in East Hamlet by an officer who recognized him to be wanted for a charge of failure to appear in court.  Gribbons was consequently arrested and processed into the Richmond County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000 pending his appearance in Richmond County District Court on July 9th.

On Monday, June 25th at approximately 1:00 p.m., Heather Nicole Lockey, 27, of 321 Old Gibson Road in Hamlet was observed driving into Hamlet on Highway 74 East by an officer who had reason to believe that she was wanted on charges of assault on a government officer and disorderly conduct in a public building.  The officer subsequently arrested Lockey and transported her to the magistrate’s office where she was then processed into the Richmond County Detention Center under a secured bond of $5000 pending her appearance in Richmond County District Court on Thursday, July 19th.  Lockey was also issued a citation for driving while her license was suspended.
