HAMLET – The DeWitt Performing Arts Series will present Moscow Festival Ballet performing the classic fairy tale”Cinderella” on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 7:30 p..m.

The Ballet will perform at Cole Auditorium. DeWitt Season ticket holders will use their tickets for entry, but admission for individual show tickets are $30, $35, $40.  Local dance studio families can inquire about discount tickets.

The show will feature professional dancers, beautiful costumes, and eloquent music. Additional ballets performed by the Moscow Festival Ballet include timeless classics such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote, and Carmen. Other performances have included Romeo and Juliet, Legend of Love and Stone Flower, among others.

According to an article in the Daily Herald (Jan. 9), the “Cinderella” performances are part of Moscow Festival Ballet’s American tour that starts in January and ends in May, 2018.

The Moscow Festival Ballet has a long history. According to an event brochure, it was founded in 1989 by legendary ballet dancer Sergei Radchenko. He sought to realize his vision of a company that would bring together the highest classical elements of two great companies in an independent new company within the framework of Russian classic ballet.

Leading dancers from across Russia have forged, under Radchenko’s direction, into an exciting new company, staging new productions of timeless classics.
