Richmond County Low-Income Energy Assistance Program Accepting Applications

RICHMOND COUNTY – The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a Federally-funded program that provides for a one-time vendor payment to help eligible households pay their heating bills.

All households may apply from Jan. 1, 2018, through March 31, 2018, or until funds are exhausted.

 

Applications for the above will be taken at the Richmond County Social Services building, located at 125 Caroline Street in Rockingham.

A household that applies must have at least one U.S. citizen or non-citizen who meets the eligibility criteria, meet an income test, have reserves at or below $2,250, and be responsible for its heating bills.
