Sheriff’s Deputies Make Arrest on Multiple Drug Charges

ROCKINGHAM – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest subsequent to an extended investigation into illicit drug activity.

Deputies charged O’Joshua James Thomas, 26, with several drug-related crimes after locating him at the Budget Inn Motel on Wednesday, July 11th.

Investigators had made several purchases of suspected marijuana and crack cocaine from Thomas. 

Thomas was consequently charged with selling a Schedule II controlled substance; delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; two (2) counts of selling a Schedule VI controlled substance; two (2) counts of delivery of a Schedule VI controlled substance; two (2) counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thomas was processed into the Richmond County Jail under a secured bond of $25,000.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
