ROCKINGHAM – First responders were dispatched Wednesday afternoon to an accident in the westbound lane of traffic near the 311 exit on the HW 74 By-Pass.
On arrival responders discovered that an SUV traveling west had lost control and collided with the cables located in the median of the highway.
The driver of the vehicle was the only occupant and needed no medical attention.
Units responding were the Cordova Fire Rescue and the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Responders checked back in-service with the Patrol remaining on scene to investigate the accident.
