Three-Vehicle Accident Near Wal-Mart Sends Three to Local Hospital

ROCKINGHAM – Emergency crews were dispatched to a three-vehicle collision Monday afternoon at 5:10 p.m. to the intersection in front of the Murphy Gas Station at the entrance to the Wal-Mart shopping plaza.

The incident involved a red Jeep, a white Nissan Sentra and a white Ford Fusion.

A spokesman close to the Richmond Observer stated that three individuals (two adults and one child) were transported to a local hospital. The source confirmed that none of the three had life threatening injuries.

Rockingham Fire Department, FirstHealth Richmond EMS and the Rockingham Police Department were on the scene.

At the time of this publication, the police were in route to the hospital to further their investigation to determine the official cause of the accident.
