The Raiders only wrestled in two matches against Anson, which both resulted in wins. Sophomore Christian Sanchez (132-pound) was leading Omarion McCune 4-3 in the second round when he pinned him to the mat.

Junior Tripp Griggs (220-pound) also earned a win by pinfall, defeating Lee Chambers in the first two-minute period. All of the Bearcats’ points came on forfeits.

Richmond didn’t fare as well against the Eagles, dropping its second match 6-72. The Raiders’ lone win came from Rountree in the 113-pound match, who pinned Ethan Hines in the second round.

The Raiders are now 7-5 overall and will return to Sandhills Athletic Conference action on Wednesday. Richmond (3-2 SAC) will welcome in Hoke County and Seventy-First high schools, starting at 6 p.m.
