RAEFORD — It was smooth sailing for the Lady Raider basketball team during Friday’s Sandhills Athletic Conference game.
On the road at Hoke County High School, Richmond cruised to a 71-23 victory behind a running clock.
Junior point guard Jamyia Lindsey netted a season-high 34 points and added 11 steals. Sophomore guard Jasiah Gilchrist also had 11 steals and notched 20 points.
The Lady Raiders were dominant in the transition game, registering 31 steals as a team.
Gilchrist started the running clock with a three-pointer from the right corner with 3:11 left in the third quarter, extending Richmond’s lead to 59-19.

Richmond (8-4, 3-0 SAC) will host South Mecklenburg High School (8-5) in a non-conference game Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
