RAEFORD — The Richmond Raider basketball team extended its Sandhills Athletic Conference winning streak to 25 games Friday.

Starting the new year by snapping a two-game losing streak, the Raiders defeated Hoke County High School 88-48.

Richmond started the running clock late in the fourth quarter when it went up by 40 points thanks to a three-pointer from senior wing Paul McNeil Jr.

Those three points were just a sliver of his game-high 47 points, which was the third time this season McNeil Jr. has scored at least that many points in a game.

Senior point guard Javian Drake netted 15 points, senior center Braylon Barfield had nine points and junior wing Keyonta Davis added eight points.
