PHOTOS: Lady Raiders vs. Hoke County

ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Senior High School softball team stormed its way to a shutout win Friday.

Hosting Hoke County High School, the Lady Raiders completed the regular-season sweep with an 8-0 win.

Waiting out a series of thunderstorms, Maddie Pearson threw a complete game. She allowed six hits and struck out six batters, and recorded an RBI at the plate.

Hayden Robinson and Emma Rusich both hit a two-run homer. Rusich finished with a game-high three RBI.

Jorja Moore connected for a double and a triple, while driving in two RBI. Jakayla Steele and Katie Way each had two singles.

The Lady Raiders (6-5) will host non-conference Jack Britt High School (2-10) Saturday at 5 p.m. Richmond will recognize its six senior players at 4:45 p.m.
