PHOTOS: Lady Raiders vs. Uwharrie Charter

ROCKINGHAM — Two goals from senior Allie Rodgers, and another from senior Gabby Lutz, kept the Lady Raider soccer team perfect early in the season Thursday.

The Richmond Senior High School girls soccer team defeated Uwharrie Charter Academy 3-2 in its home opener.

Rodgers gave the Lady Raiders a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute on a header, while Lutz broke a tie with a penalty kick in the 22nd minute.

Tied 2-2 at the half, Rodgers scored the game’s final goal a quarter of the way through the second half. She’s got five goals in two matches this season.

Richmond (2-0) will play Gray’s Creek High School (1-0) Saturday. The game will be played at Terry Sanford High School and start at 4 p.m.
