Basketball teams with a pair of home games

The Richmond boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will both host one Sandhills Athletic Conference and one non-conference game this week.

Playing Tuesday and Wednesday, the Lady Raiders (11-4, 4-0 SAC), who are tied for first atop the conference standings with Scotland, will face Lee County High School (5-5, 1-2 SAC) and Pine Forest (6-7). Both games will start at 6 p.m.

Following those games at 7:30 p.m. both days, the first-place Raiders (10-5, 4-0 SAC) will also face Lee County (5-8, 1-2 SAC) and Pine Forest (7-5) in the fourth annual Jason Norton Classic.

With four SAC meets in the books, the Richmond boys’ and girls’ bowling teams will compete in their penultimate regular-season meet Thursday.

Bowling in Laurinburg at 4 p.m., the Raiders (6-4) and Lady Raiders (4-6) will both face Southern Lee and Union Pines high schools.

Currently, the Raiders are in fourth place in the SAC standings with 28 points, and the Lady Raiders are third with 25 points.
