Dangerously low blood supply levels are posing a concerning risk to patient care and forcing doctors to make difficult decisions  about who receives blood transfusions and who will need to wait until more products become available.

Vaccine recipients are eligible to donate blood

GREENVILLE, S.C. — With the announcement of another COVID-19 vaccine being approved by the Federal Drug Administration, The Blood Connection wants to make the public aware that receiving the vaccine does not affect blood donation eligibility. Donors who receive any of the approved COVID-19 vaccines can donate blood immediately, with no waiting period.

EAST ROCKINGHAM – As the wrath of Hurricane Harvey settles over southeast Texas leaving thousands of people displaced and in need of supplies, Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church in East Rockingham hosted its annual blood drive Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
