Billy Bryant Lovin

HAMLET — Billy Bryant Lovin, 63, of Hamlet, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

He was born July 7, 1957 in Richmond County, son of G.C. Lovin and Martha Wallace Waters.

Billy was a member of Springhill Wesleyan Church and worked as a service man for 28 years at Central Carolina Gas Company. He enjoyed racing, football and fishing. He never met a stranger and was a real people person. Billy loved his family but especially his grandchildren and his mother.

On Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, a viewing will held from noon-2 p.m. in the Chapel at Harrington Funeral Home. The family will not be present.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Judy Lynn, 127 Howell Road, Hamlet.

On Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at 2 p.m., a graveside service will be held at Smith Family Cemetery (off Springhill Church Road) with Preacher Bob Scott officiating. Burial will follow.

He was preceded in death by his father, G.C. Lovin; stepfather, Weldon Waters Sr.; and brother, Larry Lovin.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Driggers Lovin of the home; mother, Martha Waters of Hamlet; sons, Bryan Lovin (Erica) of Hamlet and Brad Lovin (Angela) of Florida; brother, Scott Waters (Laurie) of Hamlet; sister, Judy Lynn (Phillip) of Hamlet; five grandchildren, Zach Lovin, Hunter Lovin, Makinzi Lovin, Layla Lovin and Levi Lovin; and one grandchild due in July.

Harrington Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family of Mr. Lovin.
