HAMLET — Mrs. Bobbie Bethune Hodges, 87, of 532 Springhill Church Road, Hamlet, went to be with her Lord, on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.
She was born in Anson County on Nov. 25, 1931, daughter of Lacy and Elsie Arnette Bethune.
Mrs. Hodges was a loyal member of Cobb Memorial Baptist Church and, after her retirement, she spent much of her time at her church and doing things for her church or for her family. She will be missed!
Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019 at Harrington Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral will be Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Cobb Memorial Baptist Church, Rockingham.
Burial will follow at Smith Family Cemetery, Springhill Church Road, Hamlet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Edward Hodges; and a brother, Harold Bethune.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Lovin of Hamlet; son, Robert Hodges (Deanna) of Hamlet; eight grandchildren, Amanda Locklear (Jerad), Hannah Lovin, Brittani Davis (Michael), Jessica Taylor (Jeremy), Kimberly Hodges, Paige Dawkins (Alex Coulthard), Ben Dawkins (Carly Harris) and Robb Hodges; and eight great-grandchildren, Nealey, Caden L., Cam, Kason, Caden H., Brennan, Maverick and Emma.
