ELLERBE — Bobby Lee Wood, 65, of Ellerbe, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven.
He was born May 27, 1956 in Montgomery County, a son of the late Emmett Carl Wood Sr. and Irene Thompson Wood.
Mr. Wood was self-employed in landscaping and many other areas. He was a jack of all trades. He was a hard worker, a good Samaritan, and a cowboy at heart.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jeff and Johnny Wood; sister-in-law, Brenda Wood; and brother-in-law Tommy Hathcock.
Surviving, daughters, Chrissy Chappell, Bobbie Jane Coone (husband Jason), Marie McCombs (husband Andrew); sons, Joseph Wood and Richard Wood; grandchildren, Chase Privett, Destiny Bowman, Jodi Bowman, Jeremiah Truth Coone, Donna Faye Jackson (Mason), Samantha Garner (Christian), Cody Welch, Jonathan Welch, Ember McCombs; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Jane Hathcock, Rosa Faircloth (husband Donnie); brothers, Carl Wood (wife Betty), Marshall Wood, Wayne Wood (wife Donna); great-grandaughter, Kaelynn Renee Privett
