MATTHEWS — Brenda Saunders Brigman, 78, of Matthews, completed her earthly journey on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021.
Brenda was born Sept. 16, 1943 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Anne Smith Saunders.
She worked for over 10 years with Charlotte Pipe and Foundry and then enjoyed being a homemaker and a volunteer with her church, Matthews United Methodist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George M. “Mickey” Brigman; son, Kevin Brigman; sister, Teresa Saunders Paul (David); sisters-in-law, Dot Brigman Womack, Barbara Brigman Simmons and Karen Brigman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. The Rev. Billy Dennis and the Rev. Brent Jordan will officiate. Interment will be held privately in Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen.
The family will greet friends from noon-12:45 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
