ROCKINGAM — Chet Brian Covington 46, of Rockingham, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Chet was born on March 8, 1973 in Moore County, a son of James Michael Covington and the late Jeanette Humphrey Covington.
Chet was a loving father to his three children and wife. He was a former lineman at Pike, who loved gardening, working on cars, fishing and helping people every chance he could and loved being at the Powerhouse.
Surviving are his children, Christopher Dillon Covington and wife Julie Covington, Meghan Briann Covington, Morgan Taylor Covington; the mother of his children, Wendy Ann Covington; his father, James Michael Covington, and step-mother, Sharon Covington; brother, James Michael Covington Jr. (Mike); sisters, Tracy Covington Hamilton and Samantha Covington Osborne.
Memorial service with Pastor Butch Farrah officiating will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Roberdell Methodist Church.
