ELLERBE — Cindy Holland Gilbert, 50, of Ellerbe, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hosptial-Richmond.
She was born June 27, 1971, along with her twin sister, Terri, in Forrest City, Arkansas, daughter of Charles D. Holland and Joyce Smith Foster.
Cindy was a licensed practical nurse and worked in home health as well as being a travel correctional nurse. She was known to be the life of the party and was a very selfless, giving person. She was simple and loved everyone. One of her favorite things to do was fishing, which she enjoyed, especially with her grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren the most!
She was predeceased by a brother, Steven Holland, and a sister, Mary Ellen Huey.
She is survived by her husband, Tracy Lee Gilbert of the home; daughters, Vickie Mathis (Aaron Lewis) of Hamlet, Kerri Campell (Caleb) of Sterlington, Louisiana, Britney Riley (Josh) and Bridget Gilbert (Ryan) of Springhill, Louisiana; sons, Wrangler Hicks (Amber Saxon) of Springtown, Texas and Darien “Blake” Gilbert (Destiny Beshea) of Springhill, Lousisana; mother, Joyce Smith Foster and Papa Bobby Wilkes of Ellerbe; father, Charles (Mary) Holland of Forrest City, Arkansas; brothers, Tim (Renee) Kidd of Narrows, Virginia and John (Laurie) Holland of Ingleside, Texas; twin sister, Terri (Mike) Bowman of Ellerbe, and sister, Mary Noble Kidd of Rockingham; grandchildren, Zane, Lane, Dane Cipriani, Kaydence Cooke, Cheyenne and Easton Campbell, Summer and Kinsley Riley, Nolan Jones, Kyler Gilbert, Nyles Jones, and Kayden Gilbert; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive guests throughout the day on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at the home of her sister, Terri and Mike Bowman, 129 Savannah’s Lane, Ellerbe.
