HAMLET — Elizabeth “Virginia” Gibson Webster, 88, of Hamlet, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Hermitage Retirement Home.
She was born July 16, 1932, in Laurel Hill, daughter of Robert Milton Gibson and Maude Elizabeth Gibson Gibson.
Mrs. Webster worked several years at Tartan Boat Company, before her retirement. She loved the Lord, her church and church family. Her favorite pastime was growing flowers. She was a graduate of Laurel Hill High School.
A public viewing will be Wednesday, July 14, at Harrington Funeral Home from 1-3 p.m.
A graveside service will be Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 11 a.m. at McDonald Cemetery, 6904 Old Wire Road, Laurel Hill. The Rev. June Grant will be officiating.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Webster; grandson, Matthew Boyette; and sister, Lucille Leville.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Boyette (Larry) of Hamlet; sons, Jimmy Webster Jr. and Donnie Webster (Kathy) all of Hamlet; sisters, Margaret Hicks of Fisk, Missouri, Pearl Hicks and Faye Gibson both of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brad, Justin and Wade Webster and Brianna and Amy Dodson; and a great-grandson, Matthew Briar Boyette.
