ROCKINGHAM — Everette James Holden, 81, of Butler Circle, Rockingham, passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill.
He was born in Transylvania County, Feb. 6, 1938, son of Homer James Holden and Ella Rose Reid Holden.
He was a member of Zion Circle Church , an avid hunter, fisherman and farmer. He loved and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Zion Circle Church, 113 Water’s Avenue, Rockingham, at 4 p.m. Pastor Steve Crews will be officiating.
He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Holden Howlett of Rockingham and Gail Holden Elridge of Winnabow; sons, Bruce Holden, Chad Holden and Brad Holden all of Rockingham, Ronnie Massie of McAdenville and Brian Summey of Brevard; brothers, Troy Holden of Surfside and Jerry Holden of Stanley; 24 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
