HAMLET — Gail Brigman Winburn, 61, of Hamlet, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond in Rockingham.
Gail was born in Hamlet April 23, 1960, daughter of Manly Brigman Jr. and Margaret Gainey Brigman.
Before her failing health, Gail was employed as a store manager for Dollar General. Despite her many obstacles with her health, she never let it keep her down; always wearing her beautiful smile. Once she made Richmond Pines her home, they all jokingly called her the “mayor” of Richmond Pines. Gail was a very independent woman who loved her daughter, granddaughter and butterflies! Her family, as well as her many friends at Richmond Pines, will surely miss her!
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Harrington Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-noon.
The funeral will begin at noon in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with Marie Brigman Long officiating. Burial will follow at Brigman Cemetery, Bennettsville, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Kenneth Miller.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Winburn Roper of Matthews; brother, Manley Brigman III (Nancy) of Hamlet; sister, Carol Fleming of Raleigh; her granddaughter, Liliana “Lily” Bockweg; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special family from Richmond Pines.
Harrington Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family of Gail.
