ROCKINGHAM — James K. Rogers Jr., “Sonny”, 68, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully in his home of 46 years, with his best friend Koby, by his side.
He was born May 29, 1953, the loving son of Jimmy and Doris Rogers.
Sonny had many passions, as his love for pets, listening to gospel and country music, and talking on the phone to his best friend, Terry. Sonny had a heart of gold and never met a stranger, always finding the best in people.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Doris and Jimmy Rogers; and his brother, Franklin Rogers.
He is survived by his brother, Kenny Rogers (Kay); sister, Trish Brown (Dr. Marshall); and many precious nieces and nephews.
Sonny will be missed by many.
A private service will be held at a later date.
