HAMLET — Janie Gobble Sims, 88, of Hamlet, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Richmond County, Dec. 2, 1931, daughter of Gaither Gobble and Irma Leigh Gobble.
She was a very active member of the Second Baptist Church of Hamlet and had been very active and involved in her community as well. She was a lady that held on to friendships for a lifetime, as she and other classmates still got together on a yearly basis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jerry Dale Sims.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn Sims (Janet) of Hamlet and Dale Sims (Melody) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Christopher Sims, Adam Sims and Jessica Sims; and five great-grandchildren.
All services will be private.
