Kay Carroll

ROCKINGHAM — Kay Paul Carroll, 69, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Carroll was born Aug. 28, 1950 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Cletus Darden and Mary Frances Harrell Paul.

She was a homemaker and spent many hours working with her husband on the family farm. She dearly loved her family and the many who called her Meemaw. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Franklin Carroll; a daughter, Teresa Carroll Bullard; and siblings, Edward Paul, Lillian Lowe and Mabel Carroll.

Surviving are her children, Jason Carroll (Hilda) and Marsha Davis (Marty); grandchildren, Kayla Carroll, Jordan Carroll, Natalie Davis, Claire Davis, Chaselyn Bullard, Brenon Bullard, Katie Lowe, Renee McCaskill, and Brittany Wagoner; great grandchildren, Macie Wagoner and Kaden Wollert; sisters, Marion Greene and Ellen Chalmer, and sister-in-law, Jewell Paul.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020 at Ellerbe Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Hawks and Odell Shepard officiating. In keeping with the COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face coverings are required.

The family will gather at the home of Jason and Hilda Carroll, 182 Clayton Carriker Road, Ellerbe, NC.
