ROCKINGHAM — Ledia Ovenia Brown Beaver, 84, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022.
Mrs. Beaver was born June 8, 1937 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Lonnie Morgan Brown and Myrtle Thompson Brown.
She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the trio and the choir. She had been employed with JP Stevens, Hanes and retired from Richmond Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Beaver; and son-in-law, Mike Hustis.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Hustis, Lori Schultz (Laverne) and Alan “Buster” Richardson (Terry); grandchildren, Amber Richardson (Nick Brinich), Kathrine Nixon (Jeremy), Krissy Hustis, Kimberly Haenschen (Lee), Cody Cauthen (Russ) and Christian Cauthen; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Troy Haenschen and Delilah and Alana Nixon; brother; A.B. Brown (Barbara) and sister, Audrey Driggers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. David Lee and Travis Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.
