Benjamin “Nick” Scott, 71, of Rockingham, lost his battle with Stage 3 lung cancer on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2023.
Nick is preceded in death by his mother and father, Haston and Janie Scott; brother, Samuel Scott; sisters, Betty Burroughs, Shirley (Etric) Sims and Mary Scott.
Surviving are his sister-n-law, Kathy Scott; his nieces, nephews, friends and his loyal sidekick, Peanut.
Many thanks go out to the ones who helped daily and made sure he was taken care of.
Nick lived life to the fullest and made sure he told us he had no regrets.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, from 10-10:45 a.m. at Abundant Life Church in Rockingham, with the Rev. Joe B. Wilkes Sr. officiating. The service will begin at 11 a.m. following the visitation.
Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Church, 1797 E Broad Ave., Rockingham, NC 28379 in place of flowers.
