ELLERBE — Christian Bernard “Chris” Sachs, 59, of Ellerbe, completed his earthly journey on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023.
Chris was born June 5, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of Phyllis Mary Hartley and the late Joseph John Sachs.
He was a chicken farmer, the owner and operator of Sachs Enterprises and The Hideaway Tavern. He enjoyed being on the water, riding his motorcycle, hunting with the Price Richardson Hunt Club, and spending time with his grandchildren. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce and at Twin Harbor.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Sachs.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Felicia Dawn Sachs; children, Andy Sampson (Beth), Pam Tyler (John), Alexis Capps (Chad), and Ben Sachs (Tori); grandchildren, Delilah, Brooklyn, Wesley, Eli, Kye and Winter; brother, Joel Sachs, and sister, Renee Keaton.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at a later date at The Hideaway Tavern.
