HAMLET — Mary Elizabeth Speece Britton, 81, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022 at Hamlet House.
Mrs. Britton was born Dec. 21, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph George and Mary Elizabeth Hart Speece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Sheridan Britton; and granddaughter, Courtney Wescott.

Surviving are her daughters, Kathleen Wescott and Deborah Strang; grandchildren, Bobbie Lynn Bowker, Allan Hickman Jr., Christopher Wescott and Emily Wescott; and many great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held privately at a later date.
