HAMLET — Peggy JoAnn McConnell, 85, of Brandon Road, Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at the Hermitage.
She was born in Hesperia, Michigan, March 29, 1934, daughter of Archie McConnell and Edna Wright McConnell.
Ms. McConnell was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of Nashville Baptist Church in Michigan, and in her earlier years worked for the federal government. She loved animals of all kinds, especially “Benji” and “Midnight.”
She will have a private graveside service, due to mandates of Covid-19.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald Homin; sister, Marie H. Miller; and special friend, Linda Butler Ordonez.
She is survived by her sons, William “Bill” Moore (Kimberly) of Hamlet, Donald Moore Jr. of Columbia, Tennessee, and Timothy Moore (Karen) of Highland, Indiana; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and special friends, Janie and Kim at the Hermitage.
