ROCKINGHAM — Richard Earl Brown, 91, of Rockingham, passed away on June 10, 2021.
Richard was born on Dec. 18, 1929 in Red River, South Carolina, a son of the late Judson G. Brown and Fannie Lou Settlemyer Brown.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Coast Guard, an electrical engineer in textiles and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hamlet.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Taylor Brown; daughters, Kathy Hatfield, Debbie Wilson; grandchildren, Michael Louis Wilson Jr., Patrick Hatfield and Courtney Hatfield.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Richmond County Memorial Park with the Rev. Dan Blair Officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
